Back again, but with a few reviews!

So I've been fighting with my own laziness, haha. Projects have never been my strong suit exactly. So this is a test of will for myself. I've got 11 of 30 sandwiches done, and counting. I almost didn't do a sandwich today, but luck has it that I really wanted cheese and bacon from my sandwich today and I got just that standard without having to add frills! But first I owe you three reviews! I only have 2 in toe because I was off Friday and Saturday I really didn't want to do a review.

Without too much more rambling and before I start telling you 'I had a good reason..." (Because I was just being lazy and lounging around.), I am going to start reviewing now!
I had been trying to get this sandwich for three whole days before I got it. Time was just not playing into my hands those few days.I had one! I really liked it too! The healthy #26, it's the T-Town Veggie Wrap. Green and full of vegetables, it's perfect for the veggie-heads around Lambrusco'z and because of the absence of meat, it's even a vegetarian option!

We start by filling a Spinach wrap with Roasted Zucchini, Yellow Squash, Carrots, Onions, Avocado, Cheddar, Pepper Jack, and then end on Baby Spinach, all heated before wrapping up. The elusive first flavor for vegetables is long gone with the introduction of this sandwich! Chomping into the first bite of the wrap gets you a healthy*CRUNCH* filled to the brim with flavor and textures that are pleasurable and complimentary. The smooth avocado blends well with the cheese duo, leaving a warm creamy texture to be cut by the spice of the Pepper Jack and the crunch of the veggies I have had plenty of 'No-Meat' products before this wrap, but few (If any!) have matched up to how tasty this wrap is! There's one comparable sandwich, but I don't quite remember where it was from. It was very simple while refined and completely delicious, sadly I don't remember having a sandwich like that ever again. Now, I don't have to look back, I can look in my hands! I have to say, it reminds me of my first vegetarian meal.

For being a good solid lunch option it receives a 7 of 9. I 'd happily eat another just the same tomorrow!

Tasty, but this wrap may not be the the of thing for you hardcore carnivores out there, but it's a pretty good sandwich.

Until next we eat!

Blondie's Favorite Husband!

So Monday I actually ate the sandwich, and for all of you out there in Blog-land wondering, I do my review when I eat the sandwich/ photograph the model(I.E.: The sandwich). So that's how I manage to 'remember' my reviews. If it were just me sitting here, I'd still be on review number one! But luckily I have a *little* forethought and write down what I'm thinking while eating the sandwiches in order to capture my true feelings.

I ate another of the delicious hearty sandwiches, and BOY did I realize just how small my stomach has gotten! I really wanted the rest of this delicious sandwich, but sadly I only had room for one half of it. It stuffed me full at approximately 1/4 of a sandwich. I was ready to nap after just a half. The number 25, the Dagwood, is enormous! Named after the man who can put away a sandwich the size of his cartoon head, this sandwich can belly up with the best of 'em!

Large and full of protein, this sandwich will easily stuff you full quickly. Packed with Oven Roasted Turkey, Black Forest Ham, Pepper Roast Beef, Swiss *and* Cheddar all on white bread drizzled with Lambrusco'z Special Sauce.

If Dagwood's voracious hunger is any indicator of how tasty his sandwich is, we MUST have nailed the flavors! Full of meaty, heavy, bold flavors, it really shines with the cheesy buffers at the bottom of the sandwich to cool down the spice of the Pepper Beef at the beginning of the flavor layering.

The sandwich was so large, that I had a problem finishing the first half. It's a no-brainer that I couldn't even touch the second half! Savory and Meaty, while still being a sandwich, but remaining VERY filling, this sandwich gets an 8 of 9 for an all-star performance.

Until next we eat!

                                                                         Peace, Love and GREAT Food,

Fiesta, IN MY MOUTH!

At the point that I really don't know how to use the accent and tilde marks properly on my keyboard, I can't really do any kind of lengthy joke or cute witty little title for my review. Sorry! I'm lame that way. At any rate, I'm reviewing the #13 tonight, the Fiesta Chicken Wrap. I don't think I'll be doing a picture for the wrap, but it is tasty! I'm devouring it as I'm writing this, *SHH*! Don't tell the people who dislike me eating in my room!

At any rate the sandwich is made rather well with Marinated Grilled Chicken, Jalapeno Pimento Cheese, Lettuce and Tomato all wrapped firmly in side of a Jalapeno Cheddar Wrap! Spicy in a subtle way, it has a slight heat but nothing I'd consider to be serious. I say that only because I eat, according to my mother, "Molten lava instead of food." I assure you, it's regular food, I'm not a dragon after all... Anyways! It's rather flavorful with our own Marinated Grilled Chicken sliced thinly and used as the meat base. Followed by our own Jalapeno Pimento Cheese dip. (Come get some! You'll not regret it~) A hearty bite, without being a mouthful at anytime. It's quite relaxing to have a normal sized sandwich! To all the people who are looking for a HUGE sandwich to curb your hearty appetite, we have sandwiches JUST for you. For everyone else, you should stop by and grab a normal-sized one (Still big sandwiches though!)

This sandwich was worth the money and I'll be having this one again soon! Light on the tummy, light on the plate, light on the pockets!

For an overall good sandwich, it doesn't get a ton of traffic. Help me change that everyone! This sandwich is great! It ranks a 7 of 9, and deserves it's day in the spotlight!

Until next we eat!

What exactly is a Buffalo Chicken?

As a writer and a frequenter of American culture I hear that quite often. So as someone who hears it, I wonder, 'What exactly is a Buffalo Chicken?' Ever notice that we eat it without too much of a fuss? How exactly does one engineer a Buffalo and a Chicken together? Well to be honest, I'm sure you've never wondered about it. (I'm just kidding! I know what Buffalo Chicken is! Simply delicious and spicy!)

And now that I wrote my lame attempt at April Fool's Day comedy, I'll get to the sandwich review. This sandwich, our Buffalo Chicken Club, is served on a Croissant! Cut in half and stuffed with Boarshead Buffalo Chicken, Cheddar, Blue Cheese and Bacon sauce and more Bacon! The first bite was crunchy from the Bacon but soft and buttery because of the of the Croissant, but still SPICY because of the chicken! A very interesting contrast in flavor and textures to be sure. Now I just want ti to be known that I *LOVE* spicy food. There's something about spicy food that just feels right. That's really the only way I can think to describe it. Now that I have that out of the way, I can actually get on with the rest of the small review I have for you today.

The Cheddar influenced the flavor ever so slightly in that way that is complimentary to the flavor without overbearing cheese flavor that some people dislike. While eating the sandwich I kept wondering why I wasn't getting that familiar burn that is so indicative of Spicy Buffalo Wings, and then I realized that it was because there's Blue Cheese and Bacon sauce on the meat! So even while things are heating up, the Blue Cheese is cooling you down! It's a convenient setup that's conventional to eat while still being eco-conscious, after all, you're not leaving a pile of napkins in your wake!

As an amazing, spicy sandwich, I award an 8 of 9. Layers of flavor that combine together even as you're cooling down from the warmth of the spice, leave you with a feeling of satisfaction, and let's not forget a full tummy!
Until next we eat!

New York Special in Oklahoma

Following my day late review, I decided that I would get right to it when I got home tonight. Sadly, I waited until just now to start it. :/

This evening I'm going to review the # 9, the New York Pub Special. I had mine grilled because I'm in love with the idea of warm sandwiches on cold days thanks to Lambrusco'z.

Made with a half a pound of Pastrami, Swiss Cheese, and Dijon, the flavor breakdown will be kinda short, but the flavors won't be sold cheap because of a small vocabulary. I could go on and on about the sandwich, but because the flavors aren't numerous it's going to wind up falling short as a standard sandwich review.

If you indeed are reading/ following me, drop me a comment! I can't get better unless I know what I'm doing wrong!

So when I got my sandwich this afternoon it was all warm and crunchy, but still retaining it's healthy moisture. YUMMY! That first morsel of crunchy Rye yields to the strong, bold flavor of Dijon Mustard. Powerful in it's own fashion, the mustard isn't overbearing to the point of losing the flavor of the pastrami.

I personally didn't taste the Swiss on the sandwich, even though there was plenty of cheese there. It could be the fact that I was indulging in the texture and flavor of the mustard, though. I have been known to forget to pause for all the flavors I'm awaiting. The fact that the sandwich was heated may also be the reason for the Swiss's missing flavor, my fault for asking for it grilled, truth be told.

At any rate, if someone were to offer me this sandwich or dessert(Which I am very fond of, in all actuality.) with only one choice, I'd grab a healthy handful of sandwich, happily, without a second thought! I'm a huge fan of such bold flavors in general, but when I hear 'sandwich' and the words 'mild' and 'light' don't come to mind, I'm all aboard!

...I really do think I'm becoming addicted to sandwiches, I'm sort of okay with that though. I can say with complete honesty that I won't be attending Carbs or Sandwich Anonymous anytime soon.

This sandwich served up hearty ingredients, crunchy bread, and warmth, earning a solid 9 of 9.

Until Next We Eat!

Le Cordon Bl-ooo...

Me and my friend Julie at Lambrusco'z! :D
So yesterday I felt like I was STARVING, so I had the trusty sandwich staff at Lambrusco'z To Go grill me up the number 36, our spin on the Cordon Blue. Made on the delicious, spongy, and soft Ciabatta bread I fell in love with on the #19, it's packed with Pesto Ham, Oven Roast Chicken, our own Garlic Cheese Melt (Drop by and pick up a pint!), and ending on the very tasty Provolone note.

My first bite into the sandwich was a soft dream. The texture of the bread is present but not overbearing, it's very nice to bite into a sandwich and have the crunch on the inside but not the outside. I may only toast my bread on one side from now on. I had the sandwich grilled(Making the inside of the sandwich crunchy) because, YUM! I've said it in person, but never before online so here it is,"Warmth really brings out the flavor of most meats and coaxes the flavors to blend and make nice." Such a smooth, warm, mild sandwich really reminds me of a bowl of soup on a cold day, in an entirely refreshing manner.

This sandwich serves as a fond reminder and makes me want traditional Cordon Blue much more often, just not directly after this sandwich. It was a pretty sizable sandwich after all... But I finished every bite.

It was tasty and the warmth of the ham and chicken blending together really made me happy with it being a little less than warm yesterday in Oklahoma. The give and take of warmth and flavors combining made this a good choice that 'd happily recommend to family and friends alike, and even to people I don't know!

This sandwich earns a 7 of 9 for it's flavors melting together and becoming a new suggestion I'd happily make.

Until we eat again!

                                                                  Peace, Love and GREAT Food,

Back in the Saddle!

So, it's been about 9 days since I updated and that's totally my fault. I got lazy and told myself "I'll start again Monday." Well that turned out not so easy. My other people on register were sick/off and I'm not the person who wants to call someone on their off day so that I can have a little extra help and because of that I didn't get to eat a sandwich. Well I don't quite remember what happened Wednesday that stopped me from eating a sandwich, probably just my really bad memory, but there was no sandwich done that day. Well,
I decided Wednesday that I wanted to do a sandwich on Thursday so I could get a review up on Friday morning. Here it is, Friday morning 3-day-late sandwich post.

I leave my minor blog hiatus and come back bearing a review!

I bring to you, the #29, Lambrusco'z own Greek Chicken Wrap. When you get the whole package, you're regaled with how pretty it looks. Coming in a vibrant red Sun-Dried Tomato wrap, it's filled with a myriad of tasty ingredients. Lambrusco'z dinner case item Lemon Garlic Chicken, Romaine lettuce, our own Feta Salsa, some Tomatoes and then topped with Greek dressing.

The first bite into the wrap was amazing and salty and tangy and EVERYTHING I think of when I hear someone say 'Mediterranean Flavor'! It was filled with the briny feta, and dressing that left a zing across your taste buds. Easy to say, that if you're a fan of the flavors Greek food is known for, this is your ballpark! I was surprised to get a crunch factor, but then I realized that there were bell peppers in the feta salsa, or maybe it was the Romaine lettuce, at either end the crunch left me feeling like I was having a fulfilling bite. I finished the whole wrap pretty quickly and was impressed at what I found when I was finished. It left a light feeling on my stomach, no after-flavors on my tongue and a satisfying experience all together. I will DEFINITELY be recommending this to people.

(Couldn't really deconstruct this one and still eat it, haha)

For a flavor variance in every bite it gets a 6 of 9. The sandwich was great, the colors kept me looking at it after I took a new bite, and the flavor was outstanding, as is the case with everything there!

Until next we eat!
