Day Three: The Super Yummy Meatloaf Sandwich!

                          *~*~Personal parts!!!~*~*

If you have no desire to hear about the author's affliction, scroll until you find the colored text. It'll be safe to read from there.

Okay, so I keep finding things to pull me from my reviews. This time, I'm ill. It's true, even we on the blogosphere get hit with an illness. The onset didn't get to me until last night, and when I got home I ate and all of a sudden got really queasy. So I went to bed with my review written and my camera full of pictures, just not uploaded.

                     *~*~Personal Part Over!~*~*
Personal Note is over, feel free to read from here.

With all that out of the way let's get to the sandwich!

So this review is going to seem a little biased, because of a reason, good or not, it's still a reason. I love meatloaf. And I don't mean that half-cocked 'Oh I'll try that sometime.' I LOVE MEATLOAF, so much so that if there's meatloaf on the menu of a restaurant, I must have it. So this sandwich, upon consumption, is one of my all-time, absolutely, super favorites.

The taste and texture of this meatloaf is great! It's topped with American cheese and has Mayonnaise on top. A classic sandwich, a brilliant flavor, a mild texture, and one of the best melding of flavors I've ever had. Here's the problem with that. As a blogger that breaks apart flavors to talk about, this sandwich review is going to fall short, because the flavors are so well combined, which is really the point of a meatloaf in the first place.

You get solid flavor without the slimy addition of over cooked veggies with no flavor. It's quite amazing actually. The meatloaf is also topped with this sweet sauce, made at Lambrusco'z, that is familiar without reminding me of ketchup. It's much different that other meatloaf topping sauces I've had before. Slightly tangy, but eloquently smooth.

It's AMAZING.

Anyways, The meatloaf itself is a big slice of home, reminding me of times when we'd eat meatloaf once a week, I don't understand why that tradition had to stop exactly... I'm hard pressed to find something negative about the meatloaf at our shop, and I normally have a list of criticisms for the meatloaf I didn't grow up with, but this leaves me pleasantly speechless. I'm having a difficult time explaining exactly what the flavors of this meatloaf are, simply because it blends so well.

In this case, such simple ingredients yield to such bursts of flavor.

And now, I've simply run out of words to mean 'amazing' and 'delicious' while describing a new angle of the sandwich's main ingredient. This phenomenal flavor bomb is our # 34, the Old-Fashioned Meatloaf Sandwich. Earning it's score with flying colors, the #34 gets an 8.5.
